My daughter is now 10 ½ years old and after some seven years of instruction here at FKC, she has just earned her 2nd degree Jr. Black Belt.

This school has been consistently a positive aspect of her young life. She carries with her the quiet confidence Martial Arts studies bring to people young and old. It has helped her with school work, planning/setting/achieving goals, public performance and those challenges that society and social situations can present. She has the capacity to combine physical strength with self control and intelligent choice and decision.

I think Martial Arts studies is the best gift a parent could give a child because it brings with it the confidence/knowledge to make their own choices. Hopefully the right ones. Here at FKC, Seanna has found positive role models and true friends. I'm sure she'll carry these lessons learned here throughout her life.

I am very happy with this school. My daughter has been taking karate here for almost 2 years. Her attitude and self-confidence has taken a huge turn for the better. The discipline karate has given her has been great. She listens better, treats her brother better, etc. She enjoys coming every week. My husband and I are so happy that she/we decided to sign her up. As the grandmother of a 10 year old granddaughter with bi-polar disorder I was seeking an outlet to help her with discipline. Much to my surprise and delight not only did I find an improvement on her discipline but her self-esteem, confidence, and general attitude has increased. I am so very happy with Family Karate Center. I've been associated with this school for seven years now and this new location is reenergizing. Such a gorgeous facility, but the real quality here lies with the staff. It's very rewarding to be taught by such highly qualified, knowledgeable and personable instructors. I've found the workout associated with Martial Arts studies to be challenging and beneficial to my overall conditioning. A workout regime that is also fun is the one you'll stick with. There has been a definite change in my self-confidence level with the addition of each new rank I achieve. My children both have grown in so many ways since starting karate. My daughter has become more assertive and less shy. My son has learned to calm when he feels frustrated. Physically and emotionally karate has helped them both with other sports they participate in. Karate has taught them the skills needed to disengage or protect themselves in a dangerous or difficult situation. The instructors here are excellent and obviously really enjoy what they are doing. Family Karate has helped our son at a very early age overcome hurdles relating to social and interpersonal skills. When first starting Family Karate he was shy, somewhat introverted and had difficulty concentrating. Now, 2 years, 4 belts and several stripes later, he is not afraid to raise his hand in class, stay focused and follow instructions. We are very proud of his accomplishments.
